AS Roma lost at Leeds, Parma lost at Werder Bremen and Udinese, the other Italian team in the fourth round, was eliminated on Tuesday night. Italy has dominated this tournament, winning eight times in 11 years.

In the quarterfinals, which start March 16, Arsenal plays Werder Bremen, Celta de Vigo plays Lens, Mallorca plays Galatasaray and Leeds plays Slavia Prague.
