Juventus were emphatic 4-1 winners at Bologna on Sunday thanks to goals from David Trezeguet with a brace, Igor Tudor and Darko Kovacevic.
But Carlo Ancelotti's team remain six points adrift of Roma after the League leaders registered a similar result at Bari.
However, that shouldn't deflect from an impressive afternoon's work by the bianconeri, who recovered from the setback of Beppe Signori's opener to make it two away wins (and seven goals) in a week.
When Signori struck for the home side on 19 minutes, after good work by Thomas Locatelli, it was not without warning.
Visiting 'keeper Edwin Van der Sar made a series of first-half saves, notably from Locatelli and Francisco Lima.
Yet the lead lasted only seven minutes - Zinedine Zidane and Alessandro Del Piero combining to release Trezeguet whose left-foot shot gave Gianluca Pagliuca no chance.
The French striker almost got a second on 41 minutes, when Pagliuca denied him, but it was a defender, Igor Tudor, who put the visitors ahead.
The Croat rose, as against Fiorentina the previous week, to head Del Piero's corner and his sixth of the season on the stroke of half-time.
Things got even better for the Turin club three minutes after the restart when Trezeguet converted Gianluca Zambrotta's right-wing cross.
And while Signori continued to buzz dangerously for Bologna, substitute Darko Kovacevic shovelled salt into the wound with an 81st-minute volley.
