Atalanta ended a run of three consecutive league defeats, but have still not scored in their last four matches. Fiorentina extended their unbeaten run to seven games with their seventh draw of the season after a difficult week in wich their coach announced he would leave at the end of the season.

Bari 2 - Reggina 1
Bari: Duccio Innocenti 37', Daniel Andersson 80' (penalty)
Reggina: Francesco Cozza 27'

Bottom of the table Bari came from behind to win for only the third time in 15 league matches. Francesco Cozza gave Reggina the lead in the 27th minute, but Bari defender Duccio Innocenti equalised with a strike from inside the box 10 minutes later. A well-taken penalty from Daniel Anderrson gave Bari the victory 10 minutes from time. It was Reggina's first league defeat after three straight wins.

League leaders AS Roma lost for only the second time in 15 league games. Brazilian Leonardo opened the scoring for Milan after three minutes with a beautifully taken free kick. Ukrainian international Andriy Shevchenko also took advantage of a disorganised Roma defence to score twice in the first half, bringing his league leading total to 13 goals. Roma captain Francesco Totti scored just before halftime and added a second from the penalty spot four minutes from the end to bring his total to nine goals for the season. Roma remain top of the table but their lead has been cut to three points over second place Juventus and to six over rivals Lazio, both of whom won.

Udinese: Roberto Sosa 68'

Udinese won their first away match after four consecutive defeats. Roberto Sosa headed the winner from a Stefano Fiore cross in the 68th minute. Newly signed Brazilian forward Edmundo played only the first half for Napoli before coming off with a pulled muscle.

Lecce: Cristiano Lucarelli 90'

Ex-Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi earned his second draw in two matches as Parma manager. Yugoslav international Savo Milosevic connected with a cross from Sergio Conceicao in the 54th minute to give Parma the lead. Late in injury time striker Cristiano Lucarelli scored his eighth goal of the season to give the visitors a draw. Parma have not won in five league matches. Both teams are level on 20 points.

Juventus: Filippo Inzaghi 62'

Juventus won their fourth away match of the season. Filippo Inzaghi slotted home a cross from Edgar Davids in the 62nd minute to win the match. Juve remain in second place behind Roma. Perugia have lost three matches at home this season. [Full match report]

Dario Hubner's seventh goal of the season gave Brescia the lead after four minutes. Lamberto Zauli equalised two minutes into the second half to give Brescia their seventh draw of the campaign.

Bologna won for the seventh time this season. Midfielder Tomas Locatelli gave the home side the lead with a strike from the edge of the box in the 5th minute. Goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca made some fine saves to preserve the lead.

Lazio won their second consecutive league match under new manager Dino Zoff. Hernan Crespo scored his seventh goal of the season after five minutes to give Lazio the lead in front of 55,000. Marcelo Salas scored from the penalty spot in the 75th minute to wrap up the points. Inter Milan have lost five of their 15 league matches and are now seventh from bottom.
