shadow: Here, psychokinesis!
shadow: See, my customer, this is no trick or gimmick!
shadow: That's bogus. It's obvious that's a trick.
shadow: Then, here we go again. Psychokinesis!
shadow: It's a sham! A fraud!
shadow: Geez. But what kind of trick could it be?
shadow: How the heck would I know, you con artist?!
shadow: Shit...special psychokinesis!
shadow: Bogus...totally bogus...
shadow: Psychokinesis, maximum power!
shadow: Bogus...bogus...
If there is one thing that every character in Utena is, it's deluded. Poor Nanami, in
her obsessive love of Touga, doesn't see what a manipulative bastard he is. No matter how
many girls he humps and dumps (or rather, no matter how many forks he bends) Nanami won't
believe that he is a bad person.
Finally, when Touga uses his special pycho power on Nanami and bends HER, she won't believe
that he is a jerk, even when she snaps.
There are a few little tidbits in this one: A-ko bends forks over, Touga bends girls over.
Heh.
Touga sees girls as forks, which are a tool that you use for eating. In other words, he sees
girls (and anybody else, really) as tools.
The sentiments of this play are echoed in Anthy's words about always trusting the person that
you love, which is what is happening here.
