shadow: That patient died yesterday.
shadow: He was such a babe too! What a shame.
shadow: And after he kept saying he wanted to fence again after leaving the hospital.
shadow: It seems he knew how sick he was. But he forced his way out of the hospital anyway and went back to school.
shadow: I bet there's somebody he loved in the Fencing Club.
shadow: Come to think of it, he was always saying:
shadow: "I want to give the Power of Miracles to the one I love. I want to free her."
shadow: What's that supposed to mean, I wonder?
shadow: Who knows...
This is the point where confused Utena fans go "What? Ruka wasn't an evil, manipulative,
Touga-esque asshole? Isn't that kind of sudden?"
Not really. But you have to be majorly reading into it to see it, or at least have seen the
episodes where Ruka shows up about six times. Again I'm going to plug
Empty Movement and tell everyone to read the rundown
on Ruka there.
For everyone who has had their heads up their asses for the past two episodes: Ruka wanted
to gain the power of miracles to free Juri from her love of Shiori. Sure, he liked her a lot
himself, but he knew he totally wasn't going to get any, so he played the asshole to
manipulate her.
