Comparison Corner 4
Look-in's Harry North drew this version of 'Hazell' the private eye played
by Nicholas Ball.
I suppose the choice to use Harry lent a lot to
the fact that Hazell did have a bit of humour
in it, him being like
a latter-day Sam Spade, but the characters looked a little caricatured
to work
100% for me, that was down to Harry's drawing style I suppose, but if you
compare it to something like 'On The Buses', one of my all time
favourites in Look-in, the style works a lot better for a comedy
series. Nonetheless this
was still one of the
better strips in Target.
