LOOK-IN NEWS

Hi All,

I've had more headaches than enough during this move I can tell you.....!!!!

I hit more problems with Bravenet, when having altered certain pages, when I uploaded the new ones and tried to view them in website mode, it was still showing the old ones, so I set about the search for another web server.

I considered a blog with links to downloadable stuff, amongst other things, and after Thinking I was going to have to reduce my site to nothing, I came across another sever at www.150m.com which offers 100mb of free space so I'm giving this a go, so the new site is at  http://johnslookout.150m.com, it's so far so good, and I'm fairly happy with how it's going, the only drawback is this server has a lot of pop ups (it's pop-up city actually...), but this is the double-edged sword of having free space, I hope this doesn't ruin your enjoyment too much.

Everything is back in place now, except to let you know about certain things, due to the sheer amount of pages, you may find links go astray every now and again, especially in the issues section. I think the links are all but sorted elsewhere, but if you let me know about any you find I will sort them asap.  Also apart from a few recent issues, the issues are not centred - I will do this on an ongoing basis at the rate of probably one or two a month.  The Collect A Pages are now fully moved to SaveFile, apart from sets that include recent additions, but as of writing this, SaveFile is undergoing an overhaul, and keeps extending it's deadline, ho hum more probs....

So all that is left to say is I declare this new site officially open (snip!)......enjoy!

John.

F.A.Q.

When did Look-in start and end?
Look-in began on 9th Jan 1971, and ran until 12th March 1994.

Who did the cover paintings?
They were mainly done by Arnaldo Putzu, who also did a lot of famous movie posters in the 70's and 80's, but they were also occasionally done by Ivan Rose and  Arthur Ranson amongst others.

Where can I buy Look-in?
By far the best place is www.ebay.co.uk, also on the internet is www.26pigs.com, eBay is auctions so you can get bargains, but 26pigs is set prices.  Comic fairs are a great source, check your local press for those, and car booties and flea markets are good too, especially for the annuals.
