'Doctor at Sea' was the fourth in the hugely successful 'Doctor' series, and the second to appear as a strip in Look-in.

as mentioned in the 'charge' background, the series was based on the books by Richard Gordon, the first of which was written in back in 1952.  The LWT franchise was in full flow by this time, and 'at Sea' was a high spot in the run.

'Doctor at Sea' takes up after Doctor in Charge, ends with Duncan Waring (Robin Nedwell), a doctor at St. Swithin's hospital, having resigned his post at St. Swithin's along with old chum
Dick-Stuart Clark (Geoffrey Davies), for their part in a scam, the pair get themselves employed as ship's medics aboard the cruise ship MS Begonia.  They think they are in for an easier ride, until they meet the ship's Captain, who is none other than Norman Loftus (Ernest Clark), Geoffrey Loftus' twin brother!

Hi jinx on the high seas are the order of the day as Duncan and Dick get into all sorts of schemes and scrapes, whilst trying to avoid the icy glare of Captain Loftus

The strip is drawn through nearly all the run by Look-in comedy stalwart John Cooper, who did quite a few series in the earlier days of Look-in, apart from two instalments drawn in colour by Harry North.

Written of course by Angus, this was a comedy highlight and certainly the docs finest hour for me, although it's TV counterpart was not so well received and only one series was made before changing again to Doctor on the Go.
