Rasberry's in America

The Resbury name changed through time in America:  Rasbury, rasberry, raspberry, etc.  Our earliest traceable ancestor, John Rasberry, was born ca 1683 and died ca 1750 in Bertie County, North Carolina.1  His descendants  mitigated to Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.  Many of John's descendants fought in the Civil War.  The below referenced source provides information on their service in the 29th Alabama Infantry, Confederate States of America and other aspects of the Rasberry's.

My ancestral line is John Rasberry ==> William Rasberry ==> Benjamin Rasberry ==> Purity Rasberry ==> John Clower ==> Mattie Clower ==> Alice Craft ==> John H. Jones ==> John H. Jones, Jr.
