Note : This Bible was badly damaged in a fire. Some pages have the edges charred so that the records were destroyed.  In other places the ink has either faded or been destroyed by water. The book has been rebound and it is impossible to get a photo-copy.  It now belongs to Judge James E. Wheat of Woodville, Texas. The above record is copied exactly as it is readable.  But from other authentic sources the following data can be supplied or deduced.

Miss Eula Haskew, of Brownwood, Texas, attached the following to the FLETCHER Bible material: John Fletcher was a son of William and Rebecca Moore Fletcher, Charles M. Fletcher and George W. Fletcher were sons of JOHN and MARTHA McBRAYER FLETCHER.  George Washington Fletcher was father of Robert Walter Fletcher, who is the father of MARIA BEALE FLETGHER and grandfather of MARIA BEALE FLETCHER, who was Miss America of 1962, whose father BEALE FLETCHER lives in Ashville, North Carolina. Miss Eula Haskew, of Mary Garland Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution, Brownwood, Texas, kindly attached notes to several of her records. I am typing them, and shall attach full sheet of paper with each record, as it was sent to me. Some of the material had no personal notes. Ollie Kate Harris (Mrs. Harry) State Chairman, Genealogical Records, DAR. FOR STATE ARCHIVES. Marriage Records of Stonewall County, Texas copied in Court House, Aspermont, Texas, July 1946 by Eula Haskew.  Every marriage from March 1889, when the county was organized, through Jan. 9-1901. Time ran out, and I copied a few additional ones of people whom I knew. I never got back to finish all the marriages. My special interest at the time was in reading the Commissioner's Court records of the first ten years for some historical data. Submitted 1947 for DAR.
