The Return of the King Premiere

Text and photos by Leigh.

As all you ringophiles will know, the Return of the King premiered in Wellington, New Zealand on December 01, 2003. As you ought to be aware, but probably aren't as you sit there in your imitation hobbit feet made out of clay and cat hair crying that the Extended Edition has now been released and, ha ha, there's no more Lord of the Rings forthcoming... Oh Peter, WHY?!

...Uh. What was I saying again? Right. Yeah. Some lucky people (about 30,000) got to go to the parade and see ORLANDO BLOOM and, you know, some other people up close. How close? Very. And some lucky people happened to take some photographs. As Dave Barry would say: I am NOT making this up. Not just any photographs: thanks to the jostling crowd, they are photographs worthy of Golden Globe Awards. I was going to say that news award thing, but I forgot what it was and the Golden Globes were on tv last night.
