| When are we leaving? Lydia asked. In a hour. Now let me see your paws. Tom replied and sat down. Without hesitation, she placed her peds in his lap. Over the past few weeks Tom had been getting better and better at rubbing them. The short pampering sessions became one of the few things she had to look forward to. Unfortunately this time Tom only inspected her pads to ensure the injuries had completely healed. Although she had not received any further shocks since beginning to cooperate, he had to be sure. After the brief inspection, Tom placed her feet back on the ground and got up. He then produced a shiny instrument from his coat. Lydia I need to remove the tracking device they installed in you. What tracking device? When you first got here they put a small chip in your neck. This way if you ever escaped they would be able to track you down and Well lets just say I need to get it out of you. Why didnt you tell me about this earlier? Lydia asked somewhat concerned. I just found out about it today from some friends Lydia Im not the only one who wants to help you There are others on the outside. Tom replied obviously holding back. Please just trust me. Ok. Lydia replied. She didnt like the sound of this but trusted him anyway. She closed her eyes and felt Toms gentle hands brush the fur on her neck back. Then a cold metal instrument touched her bare skin and a sharp pain shot down her neck. A moment later it was over and Tom was brushing her fur softly. Despite the excruciating experience Lydia felt a little closer to freedom now. After comforting her for a few minutes, Tom got up and went out into the hall for something. He then returned with his familiar duffle bag and headed for the door. Ive got to go make sure that everything is in place. Theres food and water in that bag, so eat up. When I get back well be leaving. He explained and closed the cell door behind him. Lydia opened the bag and started to eat. She wasnt really hungry but it was important to eat now. Tom had already told her that it might be necessary to grow at escape time. Assuming it would cause her to become hungry again, it was important that her stomach was full. That way Tom didnt become an unwilling snack. After eating Lydia impatiently watched the clock that hung from wall of her cell. Tom returned in exactly one hour as promised. He gave her a hug and they left the dismal cell that had been home for too long. Although they werent in the clear yet, just getting out of that room meant a lot. As he led her down the hallways of the compound, Tom instructed Lydia to be quiet. Although most of the guards were eating a few were still on patrol. If they were caught trying to escape, both of them would be killed. This compound and its experiments were considered top secret by the government. Any means necessary would be taken to keep it that way. So slowly and carefully they made their way through the building and out into an open area in the center of the compound. Lydia immediately filled her lungs with the first breath of fresh air she had in almost two months. Then, for a moment, Lydia gazed warmly at her hero. He had been so kind to her and never asked for anything in return. Tom was the only reason she was still alive and in good spirits. She owed him everything. LYDIA GET DOWN! Tom cried as he jumped out in front of her. For that brief moment everything seemed to happen in slow motion. First Tom dived in front of her, there were several loud pops, and he fell to the ground. When it was all over he laid in the dirt motionless. One of the compounds guards was now pointing the smoking barrel of a pistol at her. As Lydia glared down at the person who not only saved her life, but her sanity also, a deep rage began to overtake her. It was time to get revenge on those who had made her suffer and those who hurt the only man who showed her any compassion. A wave of energy worked its way through her body. Then the buildings, trees, and the ground itself started to shrink. A loud ripping sound filled her ears as the apron she was wearing tore into shreds and fell to the ground. Lydias line of sight rose into sky and the earth beneath her feet began to sink. The weak and neglected muscles in her limbs swelled under her fur with new strength and power. Then with a brief moment of disorientation the growth cycle completed itself leaving her over 100ft tall and budging with muscles. With her enhance vision Lydia took another look at the compound. Everything seemed small and insignificant to her now. A large crowd of solders had formed in the open area while she grew. They were all now gazing up at her naked body in fear and awe. Despite their presence, the only solder she cared about at that moment was the one at her feet. He was the little bastard that shot Tom. Now he was going to pay for that. With an evil grin she lifted her paw over his head. The man screeched out in horror as the gigantic foot lower down on him. Lydia pressed down slowly allowing him to suffer in agony for a few moments. As his bones began to snap under the pressure the mans cries became more labored. Then with a satisfying pop, the solder exploded into mush and the screaming stopped. As blood from her victims still twitching corpse seeped up between her toes, Lydia bent down. Carefully she scooped Tom up in her palm. He was still breathing but unconscious. Upon closer inspection Lydia realized that he was wearing body armor under his uniform. However the force of the bullets must have knocked him out cold. Without any further hesitation, the megawolf made her way out of the compound. Although she had no interest of going on a rampage any soldiers that were even remotely in her path were still trampled. Their screams of terror and misery served to sooth her tormented soul. With each crunch underfoot another measure of revenge was enacted and another scare healed. However it did not take long for her to reach the main gate of the compound. Behind her lay the flattened remains of a dozen random soldiers who just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. But the person that awaited her at the gate was neither random nor innocent. Dr. Licos apparently came out to see what was going on. From the look his face, Lydia knew that his worst nightmare was coming true. And she was more than obliged to make it happen. Lydia quickly snatched the Doctor up in her free hand. With a tight grip around his body she grinned vindictively and bore her teeth. So Dr. Licos, it looks like you failed in you mission. Lydia growled. You havent saved any lives today. Please, lets talk about this. The Doctor begged. I can help you However the doctors pleads were completely ignored as she squeezed her fist. He screamed out in pain as every bone in his body shattered into a hundred pieces all at once. The chorus of agony coming from the Doctors mouth climaxed as his body collapsed in on itself. Lydia then dropped the lifeless corpse and ground it into the concrete sidewalk below with a cruel twist of her toes. Having satisfied her thirst for revenge, Lydia stepped over the compounds wall and into the woods. She continued to walk for hours until her legs could go no further. After finding a clearing and getting comfortable, she placed Tom between her breasts and allowed him to sleep. It didnt take long for both of them to enter a deep slumber. ************************************************************************************ Good, she stopped after leaving the compound. My employers are very impressed. I told you she could control herself. Yes but can you control her? Lydia, who was awoken by the conversation, kept her eyes shut to prevent the others from realizing she was awake. Unfortunately one of the voices sounded like Tom. But she wanted to know what was going on. That wasnt the deal! You said you only wanted a sample of her blood Well the deal has changed! Unless of course you want my employers to inform the government of her location. Once Lydia heard that she opened her eyes and let out an angry growl. The stranger was within arms reach and quickly snatched up. Then Lydia laid her free hand on the ground next to Tom. He reluctantly climbed up onto it and she got up. So youre going to tell the government where I am huh? Lydia growled at the little man. And what is to stop me from crushing YOU like a grape? The man calmly lifted his arm up, displaying a watch with a flashing screen, and replied, The fact that the tracking device is still in you. All your boyfriend did there was change the frequency. Now WE can track you. Lydias heart sank as the little blue light went on and off on the watch. She moved the man closer to her and the light started flashing faster. Then she held her fist as far away from her body as possible and the light slowed down. It was quite clear that he was telling the truth. Lydia, Im sorry They lied to me They Tom stuttered. Well talk about this later. She replied firmly feeling a little betrayed. She then turned to the stranger who was now grinning victoriously. He thought that he won. Ok you little cockroach, She growled, What do you want from me? |
