STAND-UP COMEDIAN, COMEDY WRITER
Tom Gleeson is a cast member on Channel Ten's new sketch comedy show skitHOUSE. In it he plays a variety of popular characters including the Australian Fast Bowler. But this is not all he does. Tom has also appeared on numerous other TV shows including Rove Live, Good Morning Australia, Glasshouse, World Comedy Tour, Good News Week as well as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.
Tom Gleeson started his comedy career in stand up. At Sydney University he entered a competition which he won! From there he has gone on to perform in every capital city in Australia as well as London, Singapore and Jakarta making him one of the most sort after headline acts in the country.
Tom Gleeson has also performed in his own one man shows at various festivals which include:
Pirate Copy 2001 Melbourne
Comedy Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival
Ginger Ninja 2002 Melbourne Comedy Festival
Dry Ginger Male 2003 Melbourne Comedy Festival
And it is through this good work that he was selected to perform as part of the Melbourne Comedy Festival Roadshow in 2001, 2002 and 2003.
It was also at the 2003 Melbourne Comedy Festival that Tom was selected to be part of the prestigeous Montreal Just For Laughs Comedy Festival.
Another place where you may have heard Tom Gleeson is on Triple J as part of "Tom & Subby" on Sunday afternoons or as part of the breakfast show.
