Tim completed the TV Operations Course at North Sydney TAFE while working in the Vision Dept at Channel Nine from 1984. There he worked on various programs as a crew member before leaving to start his own business (www.sonicsight.com) in 1993. He has also developed a reputation for recording voice-over announcements for various companies and commercials. Since 1999, he has been the in-house voice over artist for TVSN, the shopping channel on Pay TV, and EXPO on Austar and Optus TV. Additionally, he was heard regularly presenting the Sports Diary on Austar's Channel 99 until July 2003 when the channel was discontinued. Tim has also produced television documentaries screened on Channel Seven, Channel Ten and The Lifestyle Channel on Foxtel. Having been a producer for both short and feature films, Tim is an accredited and voting member of the Australian Film Institute. Due to his radio news and feature story work, he is a member of the Australian Journalists Association, and the Australian Centre for Independent Journalism at the University of Technology, Sydney. Tim was also presented with an Honorary Membership into the Australian Cinematographers Society (November 2001) in recognition of his support of Australian Cinematographers both locally and abroad. Also working freelance, Tim completed a two month tenure in September 2003 as the on-air sports guy for Macquarie National News (2GB), working weekend mornings. He is also reporting for the 2003 Rugby World Cup. Outside of Australia, his match reports can be heard on MORE FM in New Zealand and CLASSIC FM in Johannesburg, South Africa. |
