Andrew completed an Economics degree from Sydney University in 1986 where he was heavily involved in the dramatic society SUDS.
While working as a bond dealer at National Australia Bank he completed an Advanced Certificate in Film Production from North Sydney TAFE before embarking full-time on a film career.
He was awarded a Young Filmmakers Fund grant from the NSWFTO in 1998 to make the short comedy, Gristle. It has screened on SBS, thecomedychannel and Qantas. Recently he completed a Graduate Diploma in Directing at the Australian Film Television and Radio School.
