Directors KATEY and DAVID GRUSOVIN, Producer SALLY BROWNING Dur: 52 mins

Taking Care of Elvis is a documentary road-movie looking at the icon of Presley by following the journey of a few hardcore Australian members of the Official Elvis Presley fan club as they travel to Graceland for Elvis Week in order to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his death.

The journey begins at a specially convened weekend retreat, where we meet some of our main characters - the tour coordinator, 27-year-old Anthony Poloso, 50-year-old Elivis devotee Charlie Aganetti, the "Pricilla Factor" Kathleen McNamara, who is in her early thirties and taking her husband and baby to Memphis, 53-year-old Norma Ryan - who has been a life long fan of Elvis and has a room devoted to him in her house, and 31-year-old Jim Giannos, whose short marriage recently dissolved after he dressed up and sang Elvis songs at his own wedding.

The devotees reveal their remarkable life stories - how they became Elvis fans, the sacrifices they had to make as they zig-zagged their way across America, from Hollywood to Las Vegas
.
The devotees eventually arrive in Graceland, Memphis, for nine days of intense celebrations at the Memphis equivalent to Nazareth. The film culminates in the candlelight vigil outside the gates of Graceland as up to 50,000 Presley fans unite in their tribute to The King.
