Stars Risin' On The Horizon!
With her dark eyes, long black hair, and whiskey voice, Jill Schoelen is as
beautiful as she is talented. She co-starred in That Was Then, This Is
Now with Emilio Estevez and starred as the wholesome girl-next-door in
the rock 'n' roll film Thunder Alley. This fall, she'll also star in
a thriller-suspense movie called The Stepfather about a young girl
who slowly comes to the realization that her stepfather is a murderer.
For Jill,
acting has been a haven. "I had some problems when I was a child...They
were temporary, but for a child, even a few months can be a very long time.
I learned to enjoy being alone and to lose myself in make-believeacting.
It was healing for me as a seven-year-old. It still is."
While
she was still in high school, she starred in an ABC pilot with two other then
unknown, now acclaimed actors, Cripsin Glover and Nicholas Cage. Many commercials
followed. Jill then started to study acting while continuing her other creative
sidelines, writing poetry and lyrics and playing guitar. A fan of Judy Garland
(who also had girl-next-door roles), Jill would someday like to play a hard-boiled,
bad character to give dimension to her acting.
The brunette actress lives with her family in southern California and is currently working in a small L.A. stage production called "Pepper Street." She would like to work behind-the-scenes and produce films in the future. To sum up her goals, Jill says, "Whatever I do in my life, I'm going to go for the top; to do absolutely everything I can."
