CONTRIBUTION FROM MR. CHRISTOPH M�LLER - SWITSERLAND
One of the great pleasures of owning a website as modest as mine, are the wonderfull contributions of other Lancia fanatics. Mr. Christoph M�ller from Switserland sent me the following pictures of his Flaminia previously owned by no one else than AUDREY HEPBURN. Once the story was known, it feels strange to have such a material link with one of the greatest stars of the silver screen. Click here to find out more about her fascinating life! The dark blue sedan was bought by her husband, Doctor Dotti when they lived in Tolochenaz, Switserand. The house, "La Paisible" is now better known as the "Pavillon Audrey Hepburn" which is open to the public. But let's go back to the car!
In 1981, Mr. M�ller bought it from Albert Cailler, President of the Lancia Club Suisse Romand (click here to get to his website) who bought it from the brother of Mrs. Hepburn's husband, Dr. Dotti. The document below dated from 1967 was aborted in 1975, which means the car was kept by Mrs. Hepburn for almost 8 years!
The car is darkblue with tan leather interior but according to Mr. M�ller the blue carpets are a bit strange. The car is in sound original condition, needing just a minor touch up now and then! |
