Update on June 15, 2001
The characters section is up now. Nothing fancy right now until I get
the full details. Tomorrow there will be a movie you can download.
Is it me or does SCEA's site make you nuts that they don't post any info
on TMB?? Oh well. Eventually I would like to interview 1 or more of guys over at Single Track.
It really depends on if this site does well enough. Wouldn't that be cool !?!?
Update on June 14, 2001 I
just got done reading "Game
Informer". They gave TMB a 9.5/10. A quote from their review reads
"In this attack, the poor soul who is impaled on a cross strapped to the
hood of Preacher's car launches off, lands on your opponent's car, does a
little dance, and screams "Repent!".
Also on another note, Minion
has been confirmed. He is in the game and he just looks completely bad (in a
good way :-]). Here is a screenshot of him here.
Also announced is that
White Knight will be scrapped in favor of the name.....Yes you know it,
Warthog!!!
The forum is up and running so head on over and start
posting!!
Heres a breakdown of the what is known so far about all the weapons.
Fire missiles, Homing missiles, Power missiles and Ricochets will all be
returning!
Skill Attacks
Gas can: works as a projectile and a mine.
Environment attack: depending on what level your on there will be different attacks. One example is when you can call missiles from a blimp to bombard your foes with.
Zoomy: these shoot 10 missiles at the enemy that does insane damage, along with a bonus if you hit with all 10 missiles.
Reticule: it starts off with a 10 second timer that counts down. You have to keep your enemy targeted while it counts down, The longer u have it targeted the more damage it causes. However, if the car isn't targeted when the timer reaches zero then it backfires onto you. Ouch :-(
Satellite attack: shoots out missiles, and a targeting system appears over
the ground. The target changes from green to red, showing the power of the
missiles. The missiles are launched by hitting the button again. The damage
done reflects on how closesly aimed your shot was and the power of the shot.
Advanced Attacks
The freeze, mine, shields, invisibility, and
jump are all making a come back. Some have additional features to them. One
example is that the freeze blast backfires on you if you freeze an already
frozen enemy. Pretty cool stuff!

Update On June 1, 2001
The web sites
Grand Opening!!!! This site will be updated on a constant basis. The site
will contain all your twisted needs. Walkthrough, tips, cheats, forums,
voting and gaming news. I will also include the whole Twisted Metal series
eventually. There will also be movie reviews and some other off the subject
stuff on here.
Background so far.... All of the characters start
off in an asylum. Some of them don't even know how they got here. Calypso is
up to his usual self and offers a prize to who ever wins his demented
tournament. The game lets you choose from 3 different modes - story,
challenge, and endurance. In story mode, players battle through 10 maps that
unfold their tales. You start off with a choice of 9 characters, while 6
must be unlocked. There are some new characters like Noface,Crazy 8, and
Evangelist along with the oldies but goodies - Darkside, Spectre and
Mr.Grimm. There are 21 multi player maps to choose from and 3 different
modes of multi play - Death match, Co-Op, and Last Man Standing. Even with 4
players on the screen at once, the game still runs smoothly at 60 fps!!! The
feel of the game has gone back to Twisted Metal 2 along with some weapons
(yes ricochet bombs are back!).
