Muar was terribly congested during the whole week of Hari raya Aidilfitri. Everybody has to cram in front of Astaka no matter where were they heading. Stupid. Imagine, one has to crawl for two hours from Sungai Mati (junction) to Astaka on his way back to Bakri Bt. 6 afternoon a day before Raya. No notice given from Majlis Daerah or Ketua Trafik to make u turn to continue journey using PLUS Tangkak-Pagoh for those travelled from KL or Segamat or Kuantan etc heading toward the other part of the bridge ( outh) such as Bakri, Pt. Jawa, Jalan Salleh or even kampung along Muar-Batu Pahat. I know many people experienced this (for the whole week!!!). I'm sure this will happen again during Chinese New Year and Raya Haji or else if no further action taken may continue to impact the festive seosans next year. Why can't the authorities think a d try change the road system? I'm sure this problem was due to the rigid road system implemented by Muar authorities. Why should they channel all motorists to "have a look" at our Astaka and Wet Market? Here, they will crash with Muarians who wanted to go shopping and errand. Some use Muar to bypass, so it is my opinion to reengineer our Muar's road system. Hope to see changes during coming CNY and Raya Haji.
