$50,000 A MINUTE
Geoff Edwards & Meredith McRae
Tape date: 1985
Hosts: Geoff Edwards & Meredith McRae
Announcer: Jack Clark

GAME PLAY
Each host pairs with a celebrity and a contestant. The celebrity sees a word or phrase on the screen (ex: lie down). The host then reads the start of a question (ex: What should you do) and the celebrity completes it (ex: if youve had a really long day?). If the contestant gives the right answer, a check mark lights up. Once seven checks are lit, the clock stops. That time goes to the other team. They must beat the time. If they do, the star moves to their side of the board. If they dont, the star goes to the first team. More rounds are played with question finishers changing each round. The first to win two rounds in a row wins the game.

$40,000! In the bonus round, the celebrity sees a phrase (ex: Take a Shower) on a monitor. The contestant sees the initials of the phrase (ex: TAS). The celebrity then forms an incomplete sentence with the phrase being the last part (ex: If Im really dirty, I should go in my bathroom and). If the contestant gives the right phraseit becomes a check mark. If they get all nine phrases in one minute, they win $10,000. On your second game, the bonus is worth $20,000. On the third its $30,000, and so on until the fifth bonus is worth $50,000.

NOTES
The theme music was previously used on NBCs Jackpot and was also the theme to This Week in Baseball.

This was Meredith McRaes only attempt hosting a game show.

The concept of finishing questions was the bonus round to Twisters another unsold Bob Stewart pilot. The end game was reused on Double Talk.

MY THOUGHTS
Its an okay game, but there are some problems. A game could theoretically be endless because of the star bouncing back and forth. This makes for exciting game play, but could be a problem if the game ended in an odd spot. Meredith McRae is stiff and repeats the same phrases throughout the game (at the sound of the bell.). Geoff does his normal good job as host.
