October 15th is the airdate for Drew Carey's first episode of "The Price is Right."

In TPIR product news, longtime staffer Stan Blits has a new book out called "Come on Down!: Behind the Big Doors of the Price is Right." Ludia Inc. announced plans to release a new "Price" PC title in time for the 2007 holiday season. Early press material suggests continual updates to products & prices will be available online. Also, BCI, makers of the popular "Match Game" DVD set, are planning a similar set for "Price is Right." Fans were able to submit episodes to the distributors, and the set is due out in 2008.

Check out your nearby retailer for some other new game show products, like the "Press Your Luck" DVD game, the "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader" PC and box titles, "1 vs. 100" electronic and DVD games, PC ports of the popular downloadable versions of "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" plus lots more, including a new "Silver Edition Wheel of Fortune" and an upcoming board game adaptation of NBC's "Identity."

Howie Mandel has agreed to host a five-a-week syndicated version of "Deal or No Deal" to launch in the fall of 2008.

Shokus Video's internet radio division is still on the hunt for contestants on their game show that anyone can play, aptly titled "Anyone Can Play."
