"BULLSEYE I"
Year(s): 1972

RULES: A prize was shown to a player. To win, they had to guess the price on the nose within 7 bids. To help out, Bob would tell them if the price was higher or lower than their last guess. Later on, players were given a range to bid between to make it easier. (i.e. $3000-$3500)

WHY IT WAS RETIRED: Never won. The game was excruciatingly hard and there was little leeway despite the range given later. Some people lost by one or two dollars!

PERSONALLY... yeah, it needed to go. Led to the very successful "Clock Game," but had little else going for it.

NOTES: A minor change made as the game went on was the advent of a blue on blue display to make it easier to read.

The actual title of the game was "Bullseye," however fans have given it the name "Bullseye I" to differentiate it from the grocery game of the same name currently on the show.

It was the first game played on Dennis James' TPIR, and was first seen in daytime on the second episode.
