| This is an active Delta II pad we passed on the way to the museum area. It was shrouded in fog. It was about 10am local time and some areas of the base were covered in fog and the places further away from the coast had clear skies. |

| At the entrance to the museum, there was former Soviet SA-2 surface to air missile. The same type of missile shot down Gary Powers in 1960 and was used by North Vietnam during the war there.. |
