| The telescope and accessories have been in storage since about 1990. Since then, it has been moved from Indiana to California where it is now. The white telescope tube has minor scratches and some cracks but none compromise optical ability or the structure of the tube. The primary and secondary mirrors are in very good condition and have some dust on them. The equatoral mount and tripod are both in excellent condition. The spider mount the secondary mirror is mounted on is missing 2 bolts that secure it to the tube. These may have broken off during the move west. The telescope is usable but some repair should be done to the secondary support to assure stability. The telescope is now stored in Riverside, California. Unfortunately, we are not prepared for or have the means to ship the telescope. The high bidder will have to pick the telescope up in person. Final payment and arrangements for picking up the telescope will be resolved after the auction. The tripod can be broken down into manageable parts but the main tube is 6' 4" long. |
