| The model on the left is the Buran spaceplane that flew only once back in 1989. It made one orbit with no crew aboard and landed on an airstrip near where it was launched. The dimentions of the then Soviet shuttle are similar to the U.S. shuttle but it is no copy. It benefitted heavily on basic design of the U.S. space shuttle but it is a complete Russian design. . |

| Skylab was the United States first space station and it re-entered the atmosphere in 1979. It is an oxygen tank and was found by some Austrailans who witnessed the re-entry. |
