| The walled plain crater in the center is named Julius Caesar and it is about 55 miles wide. The entire Rima Ariadaeus is visible below Caesar. To the west of the rille just over the terminator is Rima Hyginus. The flat area on the right is Mare Tranquillatis. Landing areas for Rangers 6, 8, and Surveyor 8 are in the lower right area. Apollo 11 is just outside the frame. |
