| Janie was born in Indiana on November 1, 1978. She is the daughter of Wayne and Jane Powell and has a brother named Ken. She graduated from college at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Mathematics with an emphasis in Computer Science. Jane started working at Lockheed Martin as an intern doing System Engineering in July 2001. Jane became a full time System Engineer with Lockheed in January 2002. |
