Hardy, Jr. In the will of George Hardy dated March 16, 1654, proved 14 Apr 1655
in Isle of Wight Co., VA, in which was given one-half of all of this land and
housing, etc. (after the death of his wife, unnamed); Christian Wilson to
receive the other half. The George Hardy (d. 1655) patented 300 acres in 1644,
and 200 more in 1648, located on Lawn's Creek bordering that of Alice Bennett
(probably widow of Robert Bennett, of London); one of his head-rights was Thomas
Hardy (probably the younger brother of this George Hardy). Richard - Born Thomas – Born Notes: Original settlers in Newberry County
