*Rufus D. Ansley - Born  24 Aug 1854 in Mt. Willing Lownes County, Alabama [2] .  Rufus married Josephine C. Brown (b. Abt 1857 in La) in the Parish of Caddo Louisiana abt. 6 Oct 1874 [3] .  Rufus and Josephine are listed in the 1880 Texas Census and lived in Lamar County, Texas.   Rufus's  of birth is listed as Alabama.  In the 1920 Texas Census Rufus and Josephine are living with their son David in Saline County, Texas and lists his occupation as a farmer.  In the 1920 Census Rufus lists his father as being born in Georgia and his mother from Alabama.  Rufus's birth is listed as Alabama and Josephine's birth is Louisiana.  Josephine lists both of her parents as being born in La.  Rufus died 4 Apr. 1927 and is buried in Houston TX.  Rufus and Josephine had 7 children that I know:

*James Daniel Ansley - Born 1877 in Lamar County, Texas. James married Leticia Adell Burkhalter abt 1909 in Texas.  In the 1910 Texas Census James and Adell are listed as living in Sabine County Texas.  James died in 1946 in  Houston Texas (For more information see James and Leticia).

Margaret Nannie - Born 14 Jan 1889 in Married Charles Robert Lee (b. 1884 d. 1938).  Margaret died 20 Oct 1974 in Houston TX.  Margaret and Charles had 3 children:

David S. - Born 1890 in La.  David married a woman named Allie (b.1896 in Texas).  In the 1920 Census they are living in Sabine County, Texas and David's occupation is a farmer.  David's father and mother (Rufus and Josephine) are listed as living with him.
