Rev. Benjamin R. Searcy was born in Cumberland county, N. C., January 16, 1797, moved to Georgia in 1818, resided in Jones county until 1826 when he became a resident of Talbot county. He died near Griffin, Ga., where he died 6th of February in the 77th year of his age. Mrs. J. T. Ansley
