DESPATCHES FROM CLASH
ZONE
12" SINGLE
LP
- Reference number:
DN
- 198? Italian
release
- Complete show from December
27, 1979
- Venue: Hammersmith Odeon,
London
- Sound Rating: 7
- Vinyl: Black
- Variations: The first release
(above) has a black and white stick-on cover over a plain white
sleeve, and blank green center labels. This issue contained a 7"
single insert with the 1977 alternate versions of "1-2 Crush On
You", City Of the Dead", and "Pressure Drop". This was re-issued
with a black sleeve, four different paper insert covers, blank
white or orange (and possibly other colored) center labels, and no
bonus 7" record. One paper insert sleeve has the above photo with
the song titles typed underneath it. The live material was taken
from 16
Tracks (LP), however that
earlier record had better sound (through better mastering). Each
mis-identifies "Bankrobber" as "Rudie Can't Fail". This record
cuts three tracks from the first release, but adds "London's
Burning". "Capital Radio" is lifted from the NME EP, while "The
Prisoner" is a straight pirate. The tracks on the 7" were
previously released as Studio Outtakes
(EP).
