Working for the Cigarette Smoking Man, the ABH healed Tena Mulder (with whom the Cigarette Smoking Man had a relationship).
It is his job to hunt down and kill clones dispatched throughout the country, in particular Jeremiah Smith, a rogue colonist. The ABH was also the one who killed the clone claiming to be Mulder's sister, Samantha.
