Surface Properties
FluoroResist ECTFE fluoropolymer has a critical surface tension of wetting comparable to that of the polymers of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene, the two constituents making up the FluoroResist resin copolymer. FluoroResist is not wetted by water, but oils and hydrocarbons readily spread on its surface. The wettability of FluoroResist can be markedly improved by etching with sodium-based etchants normally employed for PTFE.
FluoroResist has and extremely smooth surface which precludes the shedding of particles and avoids particle trapping.
