The Discworld Companion, The Updated Discworld Companion and The New Discworld Companion contain explanations on the places and characters of the discworld. Things that appeared in the novels, things that appeared in the maps and diaries, and things that are just in Pratchett�s mind and haven�t yet been published anywhere. The original Companion was published in 1994, and contains info only on the books up to Interesting Times. The Updated version came out in 1997, and contains info on Maskerade, Feet Of Clay and Hogfather. The New Discworld Companion is supposed to contain info on the books from Jingo to The Wee Free Men, as well as the diaries and the maps.
