Now out in the fields of pumpkins and peas, there stands a scarecrow
With a long old coat filled up with straw
His head is a pumpkin under a wide brim hat
And the star that fell down with the wish upon it
Landed right there in the scarecrows pocket.
The very next morning when the farmer and his wife awoke
It was a beautiful day
The sun was shining and the birds were singing
Then after a big breakfast it was time to work
So farmer Sam went into the fields of pumpkins and peas
Checking his crop and pulling out weeds.
