Upholding Moral Values vs Political Correctness

Are we living in the Titanic generation ? Is our society being destroyed gradually from within ? This question demands an answer because many people are becoming aware that something ugly is befalling our once good moral nation.

As we understand that the very fabric building block of a nation is a unit of family consists of father, mother and children, let us observe what is now happening in this beautiful country.

We are seldom now hearing the word husband, wife; instead many kids are more and more understand the word partner. The words of married couples disappeared and it has been replaced by the word: de-facto couples.
What used to be called Disgusting is now called Entertaining. Modesty is now called Sex Hang-Up and Chastity becomes Neurotic Inhibition. What used to be called Discipline is now Unhealthy Repression.
This is the trend that we see happening before our eyes.

Another example the word 'fornication' has disappeared years ago.
A 1990 survey in the US revealed that sexual activity began at an earlier age. Middle class students age 12-14 have engaged in fornication a.k.a."Sexual intercourse on the part of unmarried persons" (Webster Dictionary).
A society which omit a clear mandate against sexual immorality leave parents defenseless in their battle for their children's chastity.

The church has lost its saltiness to preserve the orthodox values of being a decent society. Its leader capitulated under political correctness so that they are quite willingly to respond that there was 'no absolute standard of scripture to use'. So young people conclude, "If I feel happy, it must not be wrong."

When a nation or a society began to undergo changes of the meaning of words, then it will unwittingly walk on the slippery road on the demise of a dignified nation. Most are nervous about Bible and its content, and we have confused religion with ethics.
People are now becoming antagonistic if the discussion will lead to words like repentance, sin, righteousness and judgment.
Good moral values come from applying words that will act as a shield to preserve the well being of a society.

An anxious mother asking her pastor where she could find a verse to show her son that premarital sex is wrong. He was unable to give one. Are we New Zealander alive unto sin, but dead unto God ?
We may wonder if "God defend New Zealand" anthem is still intact.
