Story

It took some time until it was finished, but here it is! After Super Metroid Nintendo began with a 3D Metroid for the N64. It was a very difficult task and because Nintendo was very busy, they went to a club of programmers named Retro Studios. They were then responsible for the game and Nintendo sometimes checked out of they had worked very well.

Now about the story, I’m not going to tell anything. At first sight you think that there isn’t a story in the game, but later in the game you’ll discover that there’s more story than in any other game.

Graphics

Wow! When you start with game, you’ll see that game looks beautiful, VERY beautiful.  If you think that Super Mario Sunshine looks great, you’ll fall of your chair when you see Metroid Prime! A nice detail is that you’re really inside the game (check the screenshots), because of the details of the helmet you see. If you get damaged or something like that you’ll see funny details, like raindrops, electrical shocks and condense all over the screen. A nice and simple detail.

Sounds

The sounds are also good. With all those space sounds, weird sounds of the creatures and Samus’ voice aren’t a pain to hear. It’s cool to hear a space pirate crying when you’ve fired a fully charged plasma beam and see the pirate melt. The music is great and fits the environment very well.

Gameplay

The gameplay is great! You could shot with your enemies with your beam. To make the shooting easier, they created a targeting system like that of Zelda OoT an Tww. It works great, but doesn’t make the game easier.

The key in the game is to upgrade your arsenal. You could find new suits, beams, visors and many more. These upgrades help you to get further in the game, to next upgrade. On your way you’ll encounter many enemies, tough bosses and cool puzzles. The bosses and puzzles aren’t frustrating and are good fun.

After you’ve found all the upgrades your next mission is to find all 12 chozo artifacs, which will lead you to the final boss. And don’t worry, if you’ve finished the game you could always look for all the missile expansions to upgrade your arsenal of missiles and try to get all the image galleries. So there’s a lot to do.

End

Just buy this game! If you didn’t like you’re a weirdo, because this game simple rulezz everything. I think it’s the best Metroid game ever and the Metroids games are all super! Personally I think that this game is better than even Zelda Tww! And now the game is sold cheaper as a ‘players choice’ game, I would say BUY BUY!!!
