Dublin GPO Photo - O'Connell Street & Prince's St.

The General Post Office building, GPO, located in the center of Ireland's capital city Dublin.
The photograph shows the Prince's Street side of the building, with the main entrance on O'Connell Street. The building was extensively damaged by fire and artilley shelling during the 1916 Easter Rising, when Irish volunteers used the building as a base in the armed insurrection for independence from Britain. The building has since been extensively restored.
