Saint Patricks Cathedral, Dublin, built in the early English Gothic style, was originally founded during the 13th century, the building's construction took 30 years. During the 18th century, Jonathan Swift, the author of Gullivers Travels, was the Dean of St. Patricks from 1713 until his death in 1745. In the latter years of the 19th century the restroration of the clock tower and the adjoining park was provided by Lord Iveagh of the Guinness Trust. |
