Reason For Going With: To avoid life as a prince and a hero.

History of Life:
Before you read this you should know the Zelda "name theory". It says that the names of the people of Hyrule (Link, Zelda, Ruto, Rauru, Saria, Mido, Darunia, Nabooru, Kasuto, ect.) are passed from one generation to another. Like English last names. So Link in the Legend of Zelda is the son of Link from Link to the Past. It would also mean that Hyrulians must always have at least one male and one female child, otherwise the number of names would slowly diminish.

Long ago a wise king ruled Hyrule using the power of the Triforce. This king died and the prince tried to take the Triforce himself but only got the Triforce of Courage. He found out that only his sister, Zelda I, could get the other pieces. He then tried to get her to give him the Triforce of Wisdom and Power. She did not and he had a wizard cast a spell on her so that she would sleep until the Triforce of Courage was used by the right kind of person. The prince then put Zelda I in a locked room in the North Castle, and put the Triforce in a palace that could only be entered if seven crystals were put in seven statues in palaces filed with monsters. The prince then cast a spell on the kingdom that when the right person turned sixteen a Triforcre mark would appear on the back of their left hand and declared that all girls born to the royal Hylian family be named Zelda.

Then for some unknown reason the people of Hyrule moved into southern Hyrule. It was there that an abandoned Hylian baby was raised by the Kokiri and was named Link I. Link I was the one that fought and defeated Ganondorf, the Gerudo king, in order to save princess Zelda II. Ganondorf then became Ganon and escaped to the Golden Land where the remaining where Triforces were placed by the Goddesses. There Ganon obtained the Triforce of Power and used it to turn the Golden Land into the Dark World, and cause Hyrule to crumble. Lon Lon ranch became a lake, the market place became a grave yard, the Kokiri, Gerudos and Gorons fled into hiding and southern Hyrule was filled with monsters.

During this time Link II was born, and saved Hylian princess Zelda III and Zora princess Ruto II. Link then married Ruto II and they had a child: Link III. The Hylians and the Zora went to war, Ruto III (Link III's sister) was taken by her mother to the Zora domain. The Hylians moved back to northern Hyrule to escape Ganon's monsters. The young Link III was left behind.

Link managed to survive in this harsh part of Hyrule until Impa (one of the family that traditionally assists and advises Hylian princesses) came across Death Mountain and was rescued by Link, telling him that Zelda IV had been kidnapped by Ganon because she would not give him the Triforce of Wisdom. Zelda IV had split the Triforce into eight pieces and hidden them in eight monster filled labyrinths. Link then retrieved the Triforce of Wisdom from the labyrinths; killed Ganon getting the Triforce of power, and Rescued Zelda IV.

Link traveled across Death Mountain with Impa, but Zelda IV stayed behind to try and make peace with the Zora. And Link stayed there helping to rebuild Hyrule until his sixteenth birthday when a Triforce mark appeared on the back of his left hand. When he showed the mark to Impa she used it to let him into the room where Zelda I was sleeping. Link read about the prince and Zelda I and the Triforce of courage from an ancient scroll. He then journeyed across Hyrule placing the seven crystals in the seven statues. Then he went to the Great Palace and had to fight and kill his own shadow to get the Triforce of courage from an old midget.

Link put the Triforce together for the first time in ages and awakened Zelda I. He left Hyrule in the capable hands of Zelda I and went to the place known as "Sim" under the name TRI-Link. There he died, and became a demi-vampire by drinking the blood of a vampire while in the body of another. Then he journeyed back to Hyrule and found the war with the Zora was over, and that the other races of Hyrule had come out of their hiding places, and that the Zora princess Ruto III was his sister, making him a Zora prince. The Zora people were at first disappointed their long lost prince appeared to be a Hylian and was their hero, but in the end it only served to cement the piece between the Hylians and the Zora. Fortuanately his sister was the only one to discover he had become a demi-vampire.

Being very uncomfortable as a prince and a hero TRI-Link said goodbye to his sister, Zelda I and IV and decided to spend some more time in Sim. There he met Inuki and having no place else to go but home, joined him in his quest to retrieve the Magic Marbles. It was on this latest journey that he suffered a great accident, unknowingly stepping into a Maiden Trap plant he was transformed into a girl and took the name Lynette (Link being a boy's name).
