5 The Shape-Shifter Marble

The two ended up running out a few tunnels,
and came out the other side of the mountain. Inuki had pocketed the
tiny Demon Marble, after shape-shifting back to his human form. Scorpion did
the same, shape-shifting to his demon-
vampire form. The form Scorpion took was of a 14 or 15 year old. He was really
somewhere inbetween the ages of 19
and 25. Scorpion had black hair, and wore red and silver spiked armor. His eyes
were a dark brown, and he looked a bit
pale. Inuki himself was 17, but looked much older. He wanted to intimidate people,
and yet Scorpion wanted the
opposite, he wanted to make people underestimate him. Both ways gave the two
different fighters different advantages.
So it was interesting to see their techniques and skills. Anyhow, the two began
to walk down the side of the mountain,
and ended up stopping abruptly at the bottom, about twenty minutes later. It
didn't take very long because they were
going down the hill. They stopped because a large river lay infront of them.
The river was massive, there was no way that
either of them could have made it across. The current was so strong it
would have swept a whole elephant down it. If elephants even existed in this
strange world. So Inuki shape-shifted to
his Ookami, or wolf form. And he attempted to freeze the lake with an ice blast.
It didn't work. The river glowed black.
Inuki shape-shifted back. Immediately the two realized it must have had a magical
block. Suddenly Inuki searched his
items. Eventually he found himself with his hand resting on his pouch of marbles.
He opened it up, and reached inside.
Feeling around he snatched the Ice Marble. He decided to try it, remembering
that the book had talked about some kind
of a by-pass that the marbles had. He raised a hand, focused, and suddenly the
river froze over. He put away the
marble, and the two crossed over the frozen river.
As they crossed over the river they came to
a small city. At the entrance was a magic shop. The two entered quietly.
Inside the store was filled with crystal balls, green orbs, red orbs, blue orbs,
magic wands, magic staffs, magic blades,
magic tea kettles, potions to make you invisible, sleep, and to revive dead
people. There were all kinds of strange
things in the store. Inuki looked around for a marble but couldn't find it.
He checked the Red Amulet, and saw that
there appeared to be two different marbles in the area, and one was definitely
right there. Inuki continued looking
around, and saw a demon statue, much like the ones in the Demon Guild in the
side of the mountain. He realized how
rare the statue must be, and immediately stole it. Suddenly a shop-keeper came
from out of the back room.
"Excuse me sir, but do you have any crystalite
spheres? Or magic marbles?" Scorpion asked the shop-keeper.
"Go away little boy! I don't have to answer that." suddenly Inuki
stepped out from behind a large wooden case with a
glass front. Inuki strided towards the shop-keeper. The shop-keeper immediately
began stuttering in fear.
"I mean, eh-heh, I don't know w-what you're t-talking about! I don't have
an-anything like th-that!" Scorpion was
getting angry. So he pulled out a small device, and told Inuki to hold the shop-keeper
down. Inuki found some rope,
and tied the shop-keeper down. Then the Scorpion tazered the shop-keeper. The
shop-keeper collapsed. Inuki went into
the back with Scorpion. The pair looked around.
"Holy shit!" mumbled Inuki. The room
was covered in feathers and rainbow coloured knick-knacks. Large banners
lined the wall that were red, orange, yellow, green, blue, pink, purple, black,
brown, and white. Gold and silver stars
sparkled from the wall. There, sitting right in the center was a crystalite
sphere. Apparently there were posters of devils,
there was a marble in the corner, and it said "The Devil Guild" on
it. It appeared obvious that the other marble would
most likely be the Devil Guild. As the two exited Inuki stole a red orb, and
then the two ran out of the building. They
figured that they had been so extremely sucessful that they could probably pull
it off again, so the two attempted to
enter the building that the Magic Marble Compass led them to. Unfortunately
as soon as they stepped near the Devil
Guild alarms went off like crazy. Angry people in red and black cloaks holding
torches and ran at Inuki and Scorpion.
Inuki and Scorpion knew when they were out-numbered.
Immediately they began to run. They ran and ran.
"Hey Scorpion, I stole some pretty good stuff!" Inuki showed Scorpion
the red orb and the demon statue. Scorpion
nodded, and then pulled out a tiny pure gold Scorpion. Inuki admired it for
a moment, then turned around, to make sure
that they weren't still being chased. Scorpion put away the small golden Scorpion,
and Inuki put away the orb and the
statue. Soon the two began to walk along a strange land. Everything was extremely
beautiful. The grass was a shining
green, and the sky was a beautiful blue. There, sitting infront of them was
a massive tower. Little did the two of them
know it, but they were being spied on.
"I found one! No! I found two!" shrieked
a loud female voice. Suddenly there was a noise like a herd of thousands
of horses running down a stair-way. Many of them got squished, and fell onto
each other. Most of them ended up near
the bottom after tripping over each other, and then flying down the stairs in
bumbling balls. Meanwhile Inuki and
Scorpion got closer and closer to the tower. As they came to it they could see
a clear sign that read "Guild" there was
something before the word guild, but it could not be seen as it was scratched
out. Scorpion and Inuki decided to be
careful, as they didn't know what the guild was. Inuki checked the compass once
more to make sure that this was the
correct place, and it was.
The two figures approached the strange tower
slowly. Bit by bit they got closer and closer. Soon they were almost
infront of the strange building. There was a large brass knocker at the front
of the door. Scorpion stepped up and
knocked on it. The sound echoed through-out the tower. Immediately the door
opened, only to be answered by a ton of
gorgeous women. There wasn't one bad-looking or ugly one in the whole group.
They smiled devilishly and
immediately walked towards Inuki and Scorpion like a pack of rabid hookers.
They gathered around the pair and four
immediately linked arms with the two. Scorpion struggled to get away from them,
trying desperately to try to get back
on task, but was easily over-whelmed. Meanwhile Inuki was surrounded and couldn't
move, even if he had actually
wanted to.
Soon the girls grabbed Inuki and dragged him
off and put him down near a bush and had a huge fight over him.
Scorpion broke free of the girls and made a run for it into the tower and slammed
the door and locked it. They banged
on the door, but it was soon obvious that he wasn't about to come out any time
soon. He ran up the stairs while the girls
outside were banging on the door, trying to smash it open. Out by the bushes
one girl finally won. She approached
Inuki and slowly pulled off her top, revealing a shirt underneath. Pulling off
the shirt she revealed a dress, and so on.
She just had layers and layers of clothing on. At that very same time Scorpion
ran up the stairs, finally he reached the
top. He was in some sort of a small hall. There was no roof, and at the other
end was a large bell. It was a bell tower!
He ran immediately towards the other end of the hall, linking to the back part
of the tower. He reached the bell and
suddenly found a small case on a table. He broke it open and there was a marble.
The Shape-Shifter Marble. Suddenly
he realized what was going to happen to Inuki- but it was too late now.
Meanwhile the girl had put her arms around
Inuki. Suddenly they began changing. They were long, slimy green
tentacles, covered in a thick, putrid green slime. The girl herself had mutated
into a strange green octopus-like creature,
except that it's eyes were red, and it's mouth was huge. It looked like it wanted
to eat. It opened it's mouth showing
huge teeth, as big and sharp as knives. Suddenly Scorpion came flying down from
above. He had flown out of the top
of the castle, and above Inuki. Then swooped down, falling at an amazing speed
towards Inuki and the monster. He
smashed it's head open with his foot. The creatures head ripped open upon impact,
and a strange pink and green slime
oozed out of it. It's head had a huge cracked hole in it, and Scorpion pulled
out his foot, giving a disgusted look at his
slime-covered boot he raised his foot again, and smashed the creature in the
back of the head. It released Inuki, and
went flying across the garden, flying into a tree, and landing with a crash.
Scorpion showed Inuki the marble, and he
snatched it and began to run. In anger Scorpion chased after him, and the two
vanished into the sun.
