Prologue

By: Inuki **Ookami**

A long time ago, long before Maverick was born, a Darkness and a Light was created. The Darkness released most
of itself upon the peaceful world. The world fell into chaos, and so the light released itself on the world. The Light was
all gone, but there was still a large portion of the Darkness. Too much of it, in fact, to be natural. This darkness
searched the world in silence, and finally found someone worthy of it's satanic nature. It consumed the body for it's
own, and took total control over it. The light of the lands formed into groups in each city, forming small guilds. Not all
were the light, some were evil also, but had been created by the original Darkness. Not the new creature. Each guild
had different ways of meeting. Some were underground, some in the sky. Not all were humans, but they all had two
things in common.

All the guilds either prayed or conjured energy of their element in a group, and gave it to their leader. Their leader
would in return take the energy and channel it through a sacred statue that each guild had, into a small sphere. These
spheres were collected from a large mine. They were special because they were of a certain type of crystal called
Crystalite. It could only be mined in that one mine, and you couldn't break them. They couldn't be scratched or dented.
They only way to do anything to them would be to melt them. It was said they could only be melted when they were
first mined, once they became a crystalite sphere they could no longer be melted. Plus it was the only element that
could hold magic, without a spell being actually cast upon it, due to the fact that it is a magic crystal itself. Once the
leader of the guilds had gathered enough energy and put it through their guild's statue they would have the marble fully
finished. Then when the guild would gather if someone needed healing, or extra energy because of a battle coming up,
they would channel it through the marble.

The marbles themselves were extremely powerful, but unfortunately the evil creature began attacking these guilds.
So the guilds went underground, or put up security systems, or planted explosives nearby. A few of the guild marbles
were stolen, but few were killed or harmed in the process. Eventually the evil creature's body was getting old, and died.
The darkness spread all over the world, but it hit one woman in particular. At the very moment the creature died two
children were born. Twins. Zeticen and Zenaden. The latter was the stronger, yet both were equally as wicked.

Several thousand years after Zenaden and Zeticen were born Maverick was born. He was born into a world of
dominance by different race than his own. He was murdered when he was twenty one, nobody ever knew why.
Afterwards, he roamed the lands of Dothmor the land where spirits who have not fufilled their lives on earth search for
a body that the can possess. Finally, he found the perfect body. This body was exactly what he was looking for.
Terrace, an evil demon sent a telepathic message to him when he had found his new body. Terrace told Maverick that if
he helped spread the religion, he would give Maverick all the power that he wished for Terrace would make me
Maverick a god. Maverick agreed, since he was young, naive, and not that intelligent in the manner of believing
people. He ascended to the heavens and took upon the role of spreading the religion.

There was also a forest on Earth that was magical. It had a protection spell casted upon it by a certain Tree Nymph
that was angry at some local wood-cutters who had killed her sister by mistake. The trees were magical and could
never be chopped down with any item. The item always broke immediately. Axes, knives, saws, nothing worked on the
trees. So a magical race of rare creatures called the Ookami entered the forest. They were looking for a place to settle,
as they had always been nomads in the past. These creatures looked exactly like a wolf. At least that was their favorite
form to take on. For they were truely Demon Shapeshifters. That was the true meaning of Ookami. A long time ago
they were merely demons, but a short time after they all decided upon the form to know themselves after branching off
of the demons. They realized that the lower rank of Demons were merely fools that gave them a bad reputation. These
Ookami could speak many different languages, and each family had it's own elemental power. There was an Ice family.
There was a Snow Ookami, and a Frost Ookami, and an Ice Ookami. This tale is the adventure of the Ice Ookami,
Inuki.

A group of Druids, by the name of DDH appeared. They were the 'Druid Demon Hunters' and they chased down
most of the Ookami. And killed them, because they thought that they were evil. They weren't. Mostly they were
peaceful, wise Demons, much like a human. The few remaining Ookami who had escaped were left in the forest,
digging underground caves, barely large enough to fit themselves into. Then the foresters came. This forest, that the
Ookami lived in was very peaceful. They had by now lived in that very forest for a long time. Now, technology had
advanced, and magical axes had been created. Without the Ookami there to protect it the axes were used to chop the
forest down. Then the world was renewed. Everyone left their casinos, and stopped being drunken, cheating, gambling
liars. They all went to a fighting club. There in it, emerged a lone warrior. An Ookami. Everyone requested to know
who this 'thing" was. Unfortunatley he had travelled many years after the Foresters came. And searched for his family.
His parents, he saw slaughtered by the Druid Demon Hunters and his brother was lost. He searched everywhere for his
brother, and any friends of his. He was merely a child when he was split apart, and his parents were killed.

Also there happened to be a rather upsetting curse that had befallen him. He had gotten into trouble with a Wizard.
Rather, a sorcerer, who had told Inuki that he was able to talk to his dead parents, (which he was) and he could find his
brother. He "sent" out search parties to look for the Ookami's brother, but in all reality he did nothing. Nor did he
contact the dead spirits of his parents. Angrily one day the Ookami stumbled upon the realization of this fact and
escaped. But the Sorcerer cast a curse upon him. Every time that someone held a certain two blades and said his name
followed by the words 'I summon you!" he would have to appear. Also Ookami were known as Spirit Wolves, for they
formed and shapeshifted like Spirits, and were often content to float around lazily in the form of Energy balls that on a
foggy night could be mistake for a wandering Spirit.

But the curse only worked when you held up the certain two swords. Which was later renamed BoH, or Blade of
Hope. Somehow, oddly enough the sword fell into the hands of a mere child. Who obviously needed protecting. By
now the Ookami's heart had turned to stone. His acute sense of hearing and smell made him the perfect protector. His
old masters had been evil, until a knight of good had won the sword in combat from an evil king who had murdered the
past king to gain stature. The old king was his father.

Now, it came to pass that the Ookami's heart had turned to stone, and he become rather vicious. His home had been
smashed, his parents killed, his brother lost, he was weary, and he had this curse set upon him. So you could expect
him to be rather mean. But he wasn't just nasty. He was wicked. Pure evil. He wouldn't listen to the child. After all, the
spell merely summoned him. And he would not fight unless provoked by someone close to his strength, and his
strength was amazing. He had amazing power. It was extreme. He was the master of Ice, and was good at
Lightning/Electricity attacks too! Even his normal attacks were incredibly strong, for instance, with a mere smack of his
tail into his enemy's face would send them sprawling away. The mere idea of him being near struck such fear into their
hearts that they would cower into the corner. Inuki was a rough, tough, back-stabbing, double-crossing wolf, who was
spiteful, and wrathful, and merely cared for himself. He would only help others if it helped himself along the way. He
won two or three victories for the child, for his pride was higher than anything else. He was a stuck-up fool, that
wouldn't say no to show some fool their death, or take a good fight.

He fought for what he believed in. He fought for what he didn't believe in. He fought for being a mercenary mostly.
He got paid regularily. And began dealing with illegal drugs, and other things. He could easily kill and steal from the
dead, then sell it off. Of course by now the kid was going crazy. The child's name was Kai. He was an amazing child.
his power was phenomenal for his age, he just didn't know it. Kai means "Sea' in Japanese, and that is what he used.
Water was his main element. But he just couldn't do anything with Inuki. But there was a truth to why he had fought so
many people. It was because when an Ookami is born, from that very moment, fate gives them a master. And when that
master came along the Ookami would know it, because the person would defeat them in battle. Yet, Inuki could find no
master. He had proved to be too powerful, perhaps too powerful for his own good.

Yet, after three hundred years of doing nothing Maverick finally told Terrace that the deal was off. He wanted his
old life of fighting and travelling the world once more. Terrace, naturally grew very angry and banished Maverick from
the heavens. Before Maverick went, he stole six marbles that Terrace possessed, as a final act of defiance. Terrace had
told Maverick that those were his prized possessions. Maverick retreated to Earth and held them for himself. When
Terrace finally realized what had happened he, raged and furious, swiftly moved across the galaxy in order to find
Maverick.

At that time, Maverick became a fighting partner with Inuki. Maverick and Inuki did battle, and Inuki was
victorious. After tracing Maverick to Earth, he attacked Maverick for the marbles back. Unfortunately Scorpion and
Inuki tried, but were unable to attack Terrace, because of the fact that he was stored within the mental figuration of
Maverick. Nobody could attack Terrace, and it really looked like Terrace was going to win, but luckily Maverick
pulled out those strange marbles.

Each one had a swirling mist of two colours and a small image inside. There was a Fire Marble, it had red and
orange-yellow swirling mists. The Fire Marble was always warm and in the center was a small image of a burning
flame. The Air Marble had a small light blue square inside, and the mists were blue and white. The marble was also
much lighter than the rest. The Ground Marble had a small lump of dirt, and brown and grey mists. The Dark Marble
spread it's powers of wickedness throughout all the light it touched, and drained it, like a miniature black hole. There
was a Light Marble, which equaled out the Dark Marble, and spread it's shining rays of light out. Finally there was an
Ice marble, with a small image slightly similar to a lightning-bolt shape, with a light-blue and white mist. Suddenly all
the marbles were formed in a large circle. They all combined, and sucked up Terrace. He had sealed him away in them
forever, until all seven marbles were put together once more. He had told Inuki and Scorpion that he had gotten the
marbles like this:

Originally there were six different fighters, which each was skilled in one type of fighting, and they each had one
of the six marbles, each fighter of the element got that marble. Unfortunately they were slowly killed off by some kind
of Dark Force, but somehow all the marbles were rescued, and one of the six fighters wasn't killed. Hope was not lost.
He kept all six, but by the time he had gotten them all he had become old, too old to fight the Dark Force, so he was
waiting for a younger fighter to take them, learn their secrets, and use them to defeat the Dark Force. But it was an
excuse, because Maverick just didn't want to bring back the old memories of Terrace's pathetic cult, or religion, if it
could even be called that.

Of course, Maverick was now beaten up pretty badly. Maverick decided enough was enough, and to make sure he
would never release Terrace ever again from the marbles he decided that he would split them up. He gave the Air one
to one of his friends. Inuki quickly decided that Scorpion would probably decide to take the Fire and Dark marble. That
would make him stronger. Inuki knew then he had to get marbles for himself, but also that would make his enemies and
allies stronger, so that they couldn't use them. Maverick took the Fire marble for himself, and Inuki quickly took the Ice
marble and the Dark marble, and Scorpion was left with the Light marble and the Ground marble, which, he reluctantly
took.

Now Inuki wisely asked Maverick if there were other marbles, for one thing he had some Rainbow attacks forming,
and he could use a Rainbow Marble, if there was one. An Electric Marble too, he was currently best with Ice and
Electrical attacks. So he inquired, and the response from Maverick was that he wasn't sure, but he thought that there
were more. And that was how the adventure began. Inuki, the evil Ookami, and Scorpion, a vampire demon who was
seeking adventure, and hoping to get either another Fire Marble, or a Dark Marble of some kind. So Inuki shape-shifted
out of his Ookami, wolf form, into a human form, so that nobody would suspect him of being a demon. Inuki looked
for the marbles, and entered a forest near the building where Maverick and Terrace did battle, and soon he found a
strange portal in the forest. He entered it, and Scorpion followed.
