"Anybody here? Hello? Where am I?" said Kaleb. He was in a strange world now. He looked slowly around.
"Mitsuhiro? Where are you?" he asked. He was no longer sitting on his bed, in fact he seemed to be in a strange place. He felt his other hand. It felt strangely cold, and he could see right through himself. There was a boy, Mitsuhiro. The boy was laying down on a bed. They were no longer on those metal beds in the strange lab. The room they were in now was sort of hospital room. He could see Mitsuhiro on the bed, and on the other himself! He looked slightly different though. Both looked like they were asleep, at rest. The sun was rising, and with it glints of sunlight shone into the white room. Bright white lights flowed in from the hallway. A doctor, or someone who looked like a doctor walked into the room. Foolishly he walked eagerly towards the medical professional.
"Where am I Sir?" he asked, pronouncing the word Sir a little louder than normal. The doctor didn't respond. He gave a confused look, then wondered if he was actually inside the memory. Normally he just saw things, like what a camera would. He was never actually in the room. He could never feel his body, he could never control where he walked, or talk. He could only think before. It was like was a ghost or something now. It was just the opposite though, ghosts are mostly supposed to be spirits from the past, he still alive, and from the future, it would seem. He was growing angry. Why did this man ignore him? He tapped the guy on the back. Only he didn't! He tried to tap the guy on the back, instead he ended up putting his hand right through the guy. In fact, he couldn't feel the guy at all. It was as if everything were invisible to his touch, but not to his eyes!

It seemed like this would be the last time he would get to see anybody he knew. Except for himself, and Mitsuhiro. They seemed a bit younger though. That's why he assumed that this was the past. It was strange looking at himself, and he found that he felt almost dizzy. Had he been drugged? Was this a dream? Why was it so different from the other memories? The feather! That had to be it! He remembered waking up one morning and finding another pure white feather, he put it down on his night-table, that night when he came back it was gone. Then there was the feather just now, when he was in the room, it had sparkled green and purple and blue and yellow and white and so many extraordinary colors, yet then it vanished! Now another feather floated down in front of him. He raised his blue eyes, and blinked once. The whole concept of this was amazing, and as he looked over the feather he wondered why he was in that room. Why were they both on these beds, in this strange room, and why was he there, looking at his own body? Suddenly he found himself shifting, moving. He couldn't control it. He felt like his body was being ripped in half, but it didn't hurt.

Mitsuhiro was also experiencing troubles of his own. He was in their room in the I.P.M. building. Only he wasn't there. Mitsuhiro could see himself! Mitsuhiro, the apparently fake one stood there, with a very beautiful brown haired girl. Mitsuhiro closed the door, and the two spoke in hushed voices to each other. The other Mitsuhiro was trying to figure out was going on. One minute he was in his bed, asleep! The next thing he knew he was here, in the same room, only it was in the afternoon.
"We really shouldn't do this Mitsuhiro, I'm going out with Kaleb! This is a bad thing to be doing." said the girl with brown hair.
"Come on, he'll never know! You don't really like him, not as much as you like me, right? I think that you should dump the jerk." Jerk? Kaleb wasn't a jerk! He was quiet, but he certainly hadn't said anything mean in his entire life! He was one of those kinds of goody-goody kids that sucks up to instructors and teachers, not someone who bad-mouths, steals from, or annoys people. It was so puzzling. Mitsuhiro found it odd that he could see himself. Sure, he looked in mirrors and stuff, but he could control what he was doing! Another thing that troubled him was the way he, or rather the fake version of him was acting. Sure, he would cause trouble, and pull pranks, but steal Kaleb's girlfriend, wait a second! Kaleb didn't even have a girlfriend! What was going on here? This was so incredibly confusing. Mitsuhiro felt like he had a banging headache, and a pink bubble floated down, he glanced at it, and caught it. Angrily he popped it as it landed in his hand, and suddenly everything flashed white and pink. Like some kind of a bright strobe-light. Then he found himself back in his bed. He raised his head, and glanced at Kaleb, still asleep. Thank-god he was back in his room, and they were normal.

He became aware that something very wrong had happened to Kaleb when he tried to wake Kaleb up. He had gotten dressed, and come out of the bathroom, finding Kaleb still asleep! He was confused, and decided to wake up Kaleb. He shook the American, but he wouldn't move. Mitsuhiro looked closer at Kaleb. He wasn't breathing! Was he dead? No! How could that be? He couldn't just die all of a sudden. There had to be some kind of a strange explanation for this. Kaleb looked so peaceful like that. Mitsuhiro went running out the door, and ended up in the head's office, his face flushed, breathing heavily. Mitsuhiro gasped for air, and then burst into the door of the head's private room. It was already eight in the morning, so the head would be there. He said that it was urgent, and that his roommate could be dead. Soon enough they had the company's nurse in the room. Mitsuhiro stood over his roommate.
"It's certainly strange. I've never seen anything like it before. He isn't breathing, yet his heart is still beating. He is still alive. He could be in a coma of some sort, but I don't think that he is. He may have to end up being fed through a tube or something. Did he hit his head against something? Brain damage of some kind could have triggered this. Someone call an ambulance! This kid needs immediate medical help!" said the nurse, a group of people had gathered around the room, other pilots, nurses, doctors, and a few others. Mitsuhiro just stood there feeling helpless. The bubble. The pink bubble, he had woken up by it. What was it's significance?
