Chapter 18

"Enemies, can't live with them, can't live without them. You see detective, I keep my friends close, but my enemies closer, I led you right into my trap, and you call yourself a detective. You should be ashamed of yourself." and with that the gangster raised the gun and shot the detective in the head. He shot three times, each bullet penetrating the body of the detective. Everything went black.
"I'll always love you Ray, but no matter how many times you try to divorce that nasty woman you won't get rid of her. The only way I can solve this is to tell you the truth. You see, I slept with your brother last night, and it was good! You hear me? It was the best damn night of my life! I don't care if you've just had a heart-attack and- oh my god! Doctors come quick! He's seizuring again! He's having another heart-attack! Only this time, I'm responsible! Oh my god!" the woman screamed frantically as doctors rushed in the room.
"I hate soap-operas. There's never anything on at this time of night on week-days." Mitsuhiro sighed. It was Monday, they had an hour until dinner in the cafeteria. There was nothing to do, and they weren't even allowed to talk to the girls outside.
"Even though I'm your roommate, I think I've fallen in love with you, Simon. I don't know how I can tell you how much I lo-" the screen changed yet again. Some woman was confessing her love to some guy in the last one. It was another romance movie.

"Police reports say that there is nothing to worry about, as a terrorist has finally been put where he belongs behind bars. This man threatened over the phone to blow up the entire downtown mall, and had locked all the exits somehow. It turned out that the bomb was found, and disarmed before it exploded. Thousands would have died, and many of them were children. The mad-man blew up the National Bank at the other end of town recently. It is said that he is one of the most skilled weapon-makers in the entire country, unfortunately his parents apparently died in a fatal car-crash three months ago, which drove him into insanity, or so we believe. Charges have not been put on this criminal, but he will be going to court before next week, police say. He claims to be innocent, and says that he is a different man, and a detective is currently working on this case. That's all for now, this is News Live, on the hour, on the dot, always here for you, and I'm Loria Mackerel." Mitsuhiro shut off the television. Nothing good was ever on these days.

"Come on Kaleb. We're going." said Mitsuhiro when Kaleb came in the room. He had been in the weight-room, training. He had a bandana around his head, he unwrapped it, and dropped it on his bed as he walked in. They weren't supposed to leave the company.
"Going where exactly?" he asked. This was bound to be another scheme. He already got the feeling that he wasn't going to like it.
"We're having a night on the town, just you, and me, and the road." said Mitsuhiro giving a grin. Soon enough they began to sneak out of the window, after double-locking their door. Kaleb closed the window almost all the way, and the two climbed into a nearby tree, moving downwards. Mitsuhiro attempted to climb down the trunk, but fell to the ground with a thump, landing on his back.
"Are you okay?" Kaleb whispered down to him. There was no answer. Only darkness remained. Kaleb skillfully dug his nails into the tree-trunk, and climbed down it, backwards! He moved down, head first! When he got to the bottom, he flipped off, twirled twice in mid-air, and landed softly on his feet.

"Psst, Mitsuhiro, you okay?" a moaning sound was heard nearby. He stepped towards the fallen boy, and reached out a hand, Mitsuhiro refused to be helped up, and forced himself up. He shook himself slightly.
"You're hurt. We should go back inside, and get you a bandage." Mitsuhiro only shook his head. He had wanted to go, they had to go now. It was the only time. Unfortunately for the two boys a nearby girl from the fan clubs had heard the thump, and began to investigate, when she heard voices. She let out a shriek after recognizing the voices, and that signaled all the other girls, it was like they were birds! Immediately the two boys looked at each other for a second, in sheer horror, then turned and ran the other direction. The hoards of girls began to rush and swarm after them, the girl that had first seen them lay trampled in the dirt. Among the girls were Sandy and Jennifer, they wanted to see those two boys again, they were in heaven that Sunday two or three weeks ago, and now they had returned. The two pilots ran to a busy intersection, and somehow managed to stop a cab, they jumped in the back, and then told the driver to step on it. He sped away, but the swarms of girls chased after, all traffic stopped, as hundreds of girls rushed through the roads, eventually even the taxi driver's car hit a red-light. Mitsuhiro shoved some money in the guys face, and then jumped out of the car and ran! Sandy and Jennifer had also gotten a cab, but when they saw the boys jump out, they too jumped out, forgetting to pay the driver, and then ran, chasing after the boys. Soon the girls were searching the entire city for the two boys, who had amazingly vanished! Only two girls were on their tail, Sandy and Jennifer.

The two boys headed into an electronics store. Mitsuhiro grabbed a basket, and began buying some weird things, gun powder, capsules, a transformer to change electrical energy into nuclear, and some other odd things. Whatever he had planned it looked dangerous. He went to the counter with the odd things, paid for them, hastily shoved them in bags and ran out the door. The automatic doors opened, and just as the two girls entered the store the two boys whizzed past them, Kaleb's white jacket fluttering in the wind behind him like a cloak or a cape of some kind. The two girls stood there for a moment, completely astonished, then they regained their thought, and turned, and ran after the boys, screaming their names in loud voices. The two boys managed to grab a bus, which drove off just as the girls got to the bus-stop. Sandy bent over panting for air, but Jennifer tried to get her to keep going. Eventually Jennifer tried hitch-hiking. After a few moments, which seemed like an eternity to the two girls a car came to a stop, they jumped in, and in the front seat was a young guy, about twentyish. They told him that it would be helpful if he would follow that bus. He did, and when it came to a stop they thanked him and jumped out, they were a full block behind the two boys, but the boys saw them get out of the car. Thinking quickly Mitsuhiro grabbed Kaleb and dragged him into an underground part of the town's sky-train. They jumped on the first sky-train that arrived. Blue lights turned white as the doors opened. They quickly moved in, and the doors shut behind them, the lights turning blue once more.

"I thought it was going to be you, me, and the road? No you, me, a taxi driver, a bus full of people, a massive amount of crazed psychopathic girls, and an electronics store. Where do you plan on going next?" asked an unhappy Kaleb.
"Next we go to the town prison." Kaleb gave a gulp, why didn't he like the sound of that?
