If that 'Lite' or 'Smooth Jazz' sound is your thing then you'll probably enjoy 2001's "In Modern Times" released on the audiophile label, Heads Up. (Telarc's jazz label, I think.) Anyway... The recording on this hybrid disc is top notch and the fairly aggressive surround mix is thoroughly enjoyable. After a while, the songs start sounding all too similar to one another; but such is the way with this style of music regardless of how well it's done.
