Five feet of water and all of my music and movies submerged for hours in who knows what.  The artwork and cases were completely destroyed, but it appears I may have salvaged most of the discs.  Who needs artwork, anyway?
How high's the water, momma?  5 feet high and rising.  How high's the water, pappa?  She said it's 5 feet high and rising.  ---Johnny Cash
Junked cases and inserts.  The smell was incredibly awful.  Unfortunately, there were many other boxes filled with jewel cases.  BTW...  For those of you who hate the paper digipak style cases, I'm right there with you.  It pissed me off so much when I was trying to save the actual disc.  Those paper cases were so absorbed with water (and who knows what) that it made the task much more difficult than those discs in plastic cases.
Here's a bunch of discs that I salvaged.  After an initial cleaning with some diluted bleach and then a clear water rinse, I toweled them off.  But I decided to lay them out flat on the floor to help them further dry out.  P.S. - I kinda like the reflection of the CDs on walls.  It makes me think of the spirits of all those ruined CD cases floating upward and out into the great beyond.  [BTW...  That last part was supposed to be funny.  Just in case it doesn't come across that way.]
