Not the world's best surround album, but it ain't the worst either. The surround mixers have done a pretty good job spreading John's vocals across the front three speakers. Vocals come across easy and relaxed and there isn't any particularly noticable preference for the center or left/right channels. Well done. However, I would've preferred the back speakers to be a little more aggressive. They contain light instrumentation, but are sometimes barely noticable. Sonics of the recording are acceptable, but nothing great.
