Jamie Cullum
Jamie Cullum - "Twentysomething"  SACD or DualDisc w/DVD-Audio  (Kazaamies = 3.75 of 5)

It's jazz from a pop-music perspective.  One of my favorite albums, "Twentysomething" finds pianist Jamie Cullum singing his way through 15 tracks---putting a jazz/pop twist on classics such as Cole Porter's "I Get A Kick Out of You", Hendrix's "Wind Cries Mary", and Radiohead's "High & Dry".  Also included are some enjoyable originals, such as "All at Sea".  I have the DualDisc version and, sonically, it sounds fairly decent.  The surround mix, with the exception of the occasional brass instrument, is fairly light with the rears providing mostly subtle ambience.  Vocals are spread across the front at a more-or-less even volume level.  (Well... on some tracks it might favor the center channel slightly, but that's not a big deal in this case.)  DualDisc extras include two music videos, unfortunately offered only in stereo, and a preview for a full-length concert DVD.  Overall, I'd say this is a nice enough disc; though, it's not essential.
