Elton John
Elton John - "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"  SACD or DVD-Audio  (Kazaamees=5 of 5)

Unless you totally dislike Elton John's music, I'd have to say that this is one of those 'must-have' surround discs.  The recording's sonics are better than most---especially for something that dates back to the early seventies; it's still warm and inviting after all these years.  Moreover, the surround mix by Greg Penny is wonderful!  It has plenty of surround action yet everything seems to blend together marvelously.  The only time the surround mix seems questionable is on the title track when we first hear the chorus sing.  I found their sudden appearance and dominance from the surround channels to be jarring at first, but after the first few listens I found myself really getting into it!  Frankly, I'm not sure if there was any way to do it better.
